Karen Buchanan
Karen was appointed CEO of Publicis London in 2011. During this time she has focused on delivering new kinds of thinking and creativity, utilising the diverse range of talent and skill sets now present in the agency. This has led to the launch of the ground breaking Depaul Box Company, Brian the Robot for Confused.com, as well as work across clients as varied as Renault, P&G, Beefeater, UBS and Nescafé.
Prior to joining Publicis London, Karen was Managing Director of The Red Brick Road, where she also spent five years running all aspects of the UK Tesco business. Before that Karen spent 15 years at DDB where she gained extensive food sector experience working across the Knorr portfolio of brands and rose to become part of the management team. Here she oversaw many creatively awarded and IPA Effectiveness winning campaigns for famous brands including Marmite, Channel 4 and Hovis. Karen is currently Chairman of the IPA Value of Creativity Group and a proud member of WACL.
