Les Binet

Les Binet is Head of Effectiveness at adam&eveDDB and also runs DDB Matrix, the network’s econometrics consultancy. He was recently awarded the prestigious IPA President's Medal (only awarded twice in the last 20 years) for his contribution to the industry by continually championing (and proving with his peerless mastery of data) that creativity is at the heart of effective communication.

Having read Physics at Oxford, Les took an M. Phil. in Artificial Intelligence at Edinburgh University before joining BMP. Les has worked on brands including Barclays, Diageo, Heineken, John Lewis, Unilever, Virgin and VW and has won more IPA Effectiveness Awards than anyone else in the history of the competition.

He is the co-author of Marketing in the Era of Accountability, which the Guardian described as “compulsory reading for all serious scholars of marketing”, and also “The Long and the Short of It”, which looks at the strategies that drive effectiveness over the long and short term.
