Peter Sung is currently CEO and Founder of stealth start-up Gidget, which has developed a revolutionary video and ad targeting technology for the mobile device and “wearables” space. He is also active in the private equity / venture capital space and has been a serial entrepreneur with a hybrid operator background based in finance, media and technology. Peter has recently been named Venture Partner at MESA+, an early stage venture capital fund focused on commerce, digital media, content, ad tech and consumer internet.
Peter is also the Co-founder of the creative social network design:related™ , Co-founder of the mobile immersive video company Condition One , of which Mark Cuban and Roger McNamee are early investors, and a co-founder with Russell Simmons in an education entertainment company called greenRoks Ventures. He is an adviser to all three companies.
Peter ran Business Development, Strategy and New Media / Mobile at WireImage / MediaVast which was acquired by Getty Images for $208M. Additionally, Peter was VP of Business Development and Corporate Development at Viacom’s BET Networks, where he was tasked with running the Mobile Division.
Peter sits on several technology company boards including the mobile company, Thread Mobile, South American gaming company Replayful, and is a board advisor for the Island DefJam Label SodaPop. Over the past 2 years Peter was a strategic advisor to Grab Media that was recently acquired by Binkx. He started his career at Salomon Brothers, Inc. in Emerging markets Fixed Income Sales & Trading.
