Dominique Delport

Dominique began his career in 1994 as Assistant Editor-in-Chief for M6 Lyon and then as Editor-in-Chief for M6 Lille. In 1996 he was hired as Editor-in-Chief for M6 National and from 1996 to 2000 managed its “6 Minutes” program and news magazines. Dominique has a degree from ESC Lyon and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

In April 2000 he joined Streampower, a cross-media production company, and served as its CEO. The company, noted for its innovative TV, Web, and cellular phone content, was involved with the interactive side of all major reality TV operations in France. In October 2001 the company became a subsidiary of the Bolloré group.

In 2003, Dominique launched a daily program at Canal Plus, “Merci pour l’Info.” In 2004 he co-produced France 5’s C.U.L.T., an interactive TV show about urban culture. The program won an International Interactive Emmy Award at Cannes. Then, after taking part in the launch of Direct 8, from 2006 to 2008 Dominique Delport hosted that channel’s weekly “8-FI,” a show about new media.

He joined Havas Media (formerly known as MPG) on February 1st 2006 as General Manager while maintaining his CEO position at Streampower. In June 2006 he became CEO of Havas Media France and in February 2007 he was appointed CEO of Havas Media Group France.

In addition, Dominique Delport taught at the Political Science Institute at I.E.P. Paris, where he was in charge of the “Médias 2.0” course program (2008-2009).

In February 2009 he was elected to a two-year term as President and CEO of UDECAM (Union Des Entreprises de Conseil et Achat Média) which brings together all French media agencies.

In November 2012 he was appointed Global Managing Director for Havas Media Group. As a member of the Havas Media Group executive committee he now oversees all brands, all commercial activity and all research and intelligence for the group’s 126 markets.

Dominique lives in France with his wife and he has three children.
