Deirdre Robinson

Deirdre Gall Robinson is currently the Senior Director Corporate Social Responsibility and Marketing Talent Development at Verizon. Deirdre is responsible for leading integrated marketing campaigns to drive positive brand sentiment, awareness and engagement for Verizon’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. As head of Verizon’s Marketing Capabilities practice, she leads the Verizon Marketing Academy, which is the in-house training organization for Verizon’s 2500+ marketers. She also leads Verizon’s Adfellows program, which is the advertising industry’s first and only fellowship program for diverse college graduates, with a job placement rate of 90%.
Prior to this role, Deirdre was the Marketing Director for Brand Management and Marketing Communications for Verizon Consumer Markets. In this position, Deirdre was responsible for brand positioning, brand identity, brand messaging and creative strategy for Verizon Communications, and growing its flagship product, Verizon FiOS into a multi-billion dollar brand in just 10 years. She also oversaw all traditional and digital customer acquisition and customer retention marketing communications programs, Social Media, Retail Merchandising and Sponsorships.
Prior to Verizon, she was Director of Global Branding and Marketing Communications at Avaya, a spin-off of AT&T and Lucent Technologies, and Senior Vice President of Brand and Marketing Communications for Bank of America, responsible for Consumer Banking brand and marketing communications.
Her campaigns have been awarded many of the industry’s top awards, including the Cannes Gold Lion, Grand, Gold and Silver Effie’s, Clio’s, the Advertising Research Foundation, OMMA and Webby and Social Media awards. As well as the ADCOLOR Catalyst award for the Adfellows program.
She has a dual Bachelor of Science degree from the Newhouse School of Communications and School of Management at Syracuse University. She is married with two sons.
