Baroness Natalie Bennett

Green peer Natalie Bennett was leader of the party from 2012-2016. Born in Australia, she has an academic background in agricultural science, history, politics and mass communications, and spent 20 years as a journalist on three continents, finishing as editor of the Guardian Weekly. Her interests in advertising include restricting it (alcohol, ultraprocessed foods and general pervasiveness) and promoting it (health, community, creative messages).
