Scott Laird

Scott is the Director of people and Culture for Initiative Australia.

He joined Initiative in January 2018 and in his role is responsible for leading Initiative’s national people strategy. Prior to joining Initiative Scott worked at Publicist Media across all Publicis Media’s ANZ brands.

Since joining as Director of People and Culture, Initiative has achieved gold status as a mental health skilled workplace, gold status as an LGBTI inclusive employer, awarded Small employer of the year at the Australian workplace Equality Index awards and has received an industry award for its culture.

He has been recognised as a champion of change and emerging industry leader. Outside of Initiative, he volunteers his time with Lifeline Australia as a telephone crisis support and is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and support.
