Kayla Itsines is a personal trainer and global fitness phenomenon, passionate about helping women to become healthier, stronger and more confident. Growing up in Adelaide, South Australia, Kayla has always been an active person and has been training women since graduating from the Australian Institute of Fitness in 2008 while simultaneously building a brand with global recognition.
With her inimitable and growing online community of 30+ Million women, her world renowned Bikini Body Guide (BBG) 28-minute workouts burst onto the scene 4 years ago, changing the face of health and fitness globally. As creator of the BBG, Kayla is now the most recognisable and influential personal trainer in the world.
In response to community requests, Kayla launched her weights program ‘BBG Stronger’ in May 2017. Both the BBG and BBG Stronger programs are available in the Sweat app following her announcement on May 15th. Kayla’s BBG Program in the Sweat App sat at number 1 in the App store in more than 142 countries within a year of release. Adding to her list of achievements, Kayla’s BBG Program is available in the Apple Watch app and was named Apple Watch App of the year by Apple in December 2016. Available in 8 different languages, Kayla’s BBG Programs contains signature workouts, meal plans, automated shopping lists and personal progress tracking abilities. It has quickly become the most popular health and fitness program on the market for women aged 18-35 years. Following Kayla’s domination of front covers for many international publications, Itsines announced her first hard-cover book in 2016. The 28-Day Healthy Eating & Lifestyle Guide has now been released in Australia, the UK, USA, Germany, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and many other countries around the world. Following the book’s release date announcement, Kayla went international with her book tour. While her book held the number 1 spot on Amazon UK, Kayla was busy visiting 9 different cities across the USA and the UK, meeting with thousands of girls to celebrate the success of the book’s release. Making history in June 2015, Kayla hosted a free Bootcamp World Tour, where she became the first personal trainer ever to train more than 30,000 women in person. Demand for the tour continued, so a second tour was announced for 2016, taking in London, New York City and LA. The Sweat Tour 2016 was booked out in just three hours. Kayla and the BBG Community broke 5 Guinness World Records in Melbourne in November 2016, proving that the BBG Community truly is the most influential female fitness community in the world. In January 2017, Kayla attended Apple Store events in New York and London, chatting with Apple’s Director of Health and Fitness Technologies, Jay Blahnik. Sweat is an official curator for Apple Music, which means women worldwide can access a tailored workout playlist developed by Kayla so they can listen to her favourite tunes while following her workouts in the Sweat App.
